Fairfax Media online entertainment sections are loved by it's visitors

A survey was conducted to help gain insights on the entertainment interests of Fairfax Media’s online audience. The survey also explored how content from the entertainment section of Fairfax Media’s digital mastheads (SMH, The Age, Brisbane Times and WA Today) is being used to help shape social activities.

Highlights of the survey include:

  • The Fairfax Media entertainment website is loved by its visitors with 68% claiming it as “their favourite” entertainment site
  • Advertising plays a significant role with 2-in-5 agreeing it influences or informs them about upcoming movies, art or stage events
  • Majority (92%) have undertaken some form of action (i.e.visited a website, planned something to do on the weekend) as a result of reading content of the Fairfax Media entertainment website
