How digitally connected are Fairfax Media’s Travellers?

Fairfax Media aimed to explore this through a study focusing on digital domestic and international travellers’ media consumption habits and the use of connected devices in the travel path to purchase process. Interestingly, Fairfax Media’s digital’s travellers are extremely digitally savvy with some key findings as follows;

  • 2.9 million and 2.6 million of Fairfax Digital’s domestic and international travellers respectively intend to travel within the next 6 months
  • Mobile and video are at the forefront when researching travel; half of our International travellers watch online travel videos at least monthly
  • Online travel research is driving online purchase; half of those who research travel online go on to purchase it online
